Is it me, or was the GD2 standard supposed to allow each program to run at its own set colour depth and screen resolution, with the WMAN resetting these as you move between tasks......
 
This would be a really nice feature - it is particularly noticeable in QWord, which uses the GD2 colour drivers where present (even if QPC2 is started in standard QL colour depth).  Switching out of QWord corrupts the screen - I have altered the program, so that it now resets the colour depth and resolution if you QUIT it, but what if you kill the job or CTRL C.
 
Any thoughts - surely this would be advantageous to programmers and users alike if it could be implemented.
