Alternatively, return your freeview box (not fit for purpose) , and get one
with a UHF output. My Daewoo box has one, and so do most others.
I'm surprised you didn't check before buying. Ditto, the VCR, if you look
around you can normally find the i/o you want at a respectable price.

eg. DVD player bought online from Dabs 44 plays mp3 cds, displays jpeg
photos on TV, complete set of I/O including SCART, UHF and SVHS video
output, Dolby 5.1 phonos. Even came complete with cables. It took some
research to find, but I've got exactly what I wanted. (ordered 4-30pm 23rd
December, delivered 9-30am 24th Dec).
