Hmmm.... re-trying with a real MUA]

Hi Oliver:

CPackConfig.cmake. Not sure what these are about.

Ooops, sorry. That part doesn't belong there. No idea how it got in actually. I just
said "svn diff". The *only* relevant part is for the cpp file.

Hm, depends. Man this code is ooooooooooold. At that time my Astaro firewall
had not transparent proxy. And we had to setup every PC in the office. And that
required the host (you are right, url is a bad name) and the port. IMHO this is
what most users expect when doing this.

You are right, this is the way most apps (looked at Firefox, Java, Eagle and a
few more) want to have the proxy configured. The URI is for the environment
variable.

However, it is of course a no-no to store the password in the user's config
file. No idea if Qt has a method to easily access a secure storage (like kde's
wallet or gnome's keyring).

AFAIK Qt has no API for that kind of stuff.

Hmmm, then my feeling is that there shouldn't be an option for that!

I added the proxy code and skipped that CPackConfig.cmake stuff until I know
what it's good for.

See above - please forget about it, my fault!

Thanks, Albrecht.
