As I am doing it as long as I own a GPS unit and write QLandkarte it was just time. The good things always take a bit longer :) Anyway, this is no GSAK, no Cachewolf. It's just some nifty extension, that makes handling GPX files from gc.com and oc.xx a bit more fun. And together with the OpenCacheManager it's rocket science. Ah yes, OCM, DBus and QLGT, sorry Windows folks - it's Linux (and probably OSX) only. The idea is to manage your caches in OCM. But if you plan your next tour you can transfer your selected caches from OCM to QLGT via DBUs interface. So far OCM only transmitted basic waypoint data. But Kyle agreed to add the full information in the upcoming release. And I tried some more magic. Geocache descriptions often contain coordinates to additional waypoints. I wrote some regular expression thingy to detect these coordinates and to add them as geocache buddies. You can select if you want these buddies to be exported as additional waypoints to your device. The major challenge on that: the 102 insane ways the ones with no force write coordinates. To make a long story short: Do not really rely on it. Check the buddy list for each cache you want to export. Ok, what are the other highlights. Albrecht (OSX maintainer) sent a nice patch for waypoint label placement. I start to appreciate it deeply. And Helmut (win32 maintainer) and me hunted bugs in the Windows port. Exporting Garmin Custom Maps should workon any Windows flavor, now. Helmut also fixed the issues if you install FWTools not in the default path. Yes, and other small fries. See the changelog.
