Hi Didier,

you probably need an udev rule:

ATTRS{idVendor}=="091e", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0003", GROUP="garmin", MODE="0660"

Can be any group your used is a member of, I chose "garmin". It's saved
in /etc/udev/rules.d/60-garmin.rules. This way you can upload/download
waypoints etc.

For transferring files (gmapsupp.img) I use the mass storage device
mode.
