Hi, using GSAK could be an option however it is not open source and only runs on Windows. With Linux on my computer I would need some other tool which can manipulate gpx files.
I just wondered how QLandkarteGT "decides" on how to map the fields in the geo data file to a connected GPS device. Allowing to manually map the fields would maybe allow also for others (users or devices) to customize the transfer.
