Maybe fair to mention that you can change the Defy's batteries easy, too. But you have to do it after 8-10 hours, whereas with the 62 after 15-18 hours.
According to the precision it's a matter of what you want. To find your actual position all GPSr are fine these days. If you want to have your hike recorded as precisely as possible the GPSr world splits. To get a correct elevation over time you need a barometric sensor. And if you hike in the mountains you get a lot of reflections. Currently I carry 3 devices with me. No not for navigation, for testing :) It's my 62s, a Sportiva and an Explorist 610. Sometimes a friend is joining with a 60SCx. Comparing the recorded tracks reveals that both devices with the quadhelix antenna keep track quite long in tricky situations, wheres as the more phone like devices start to drift quite early. Another thing why I appreciate a dedicated GPS device is the simplicity. You switch it on and it works. No other software interfering, no other transmitters to switch off. In very bad weather conditions my 62s with it's keys to operate even with handshoes is a very trusty companion. But for most pleasure hikes a phone is well enought, too.
