Hi Ansgar,

yes there is a way. On Linux you can start QLGT with the -d option from the 
console. That will dump the projection string of each map file loaded.

Alternatively you load the single files and open the grid setup dialog (bottom 
right in the status bar). There you find a button with a globe and a wand. 
Press it and you will get the projection string of the map.
