Yes, I am working with QLGT on:
- Ubuntu 10.04 32bits in a netbook,
- Linux mint 13 64 bits ( = Ubuntu 12.04) in a desktop PC,
(and sometimes I also work on Win XP in a desktop PC)
On Linux I have installed the ECW support as is explained in this post of
the spanish foromtb forum:

I hope it will be useful, though it seems that you have the ecw support
already installed.
