Hmmmm, I think once there was a rounding issue between the tool to read the cache and the way QLGT fills the cache. Or was this an issue for WMS maps only? You might try 1.7.6 with entering the opencyclemap URL. Just to be sure it's not an issue already fixed. But I doubt it.
