QMapStack is still in an early state and the benefit for the user is very low
compared to a beast like QLGT.
But it has already a powerful map rendering and you can visualize GPX files.
That is enough to load tour
data that comes along with books or online portals together with your favorite
outdoor map and to discuss
the next day's hike.

Thus with upcoming V 0.3.0 I strongly encourage binary packages to allow more
users to try it and to give
feedback. But it will take quite a long time until it is as powerful as QLGT.
And I really would be happy if do
not have to do it all by myself. Thus if anyone wants to have Mapsforge or WTMS
support soon, hop on the
train.
