Hi Herbert,

this is bad. I can only guess. Maybe you have created a workspace/database file 
from a development 
version. The format changed and now it fails to show the content correctly. 
This could be fixed by removing 
the files

~/.config/QLandkarte/workspace.db
~/.config/QLandkarte/database.db

CAUTION! You will loose the data.

In such situations it's always a good idea to start QMS from the console with 
parameter '-d'. I catch all 
database errors. Maybe that gives a better hint what is happening.
