The wiki explains all you need to know. You simply have to fetch
WMTSCapabilities.xml, rename it and use
it. The map you name has quite a lot layers. Most of them are not free to use.
I never found out which one
is free.

Well I can't press on that topic often enough. QMapShack is OpenSource.
OpenSource is no one-way road,
providing you free and convenient access to perfect software. It's a way to
share sources for everyone to
benefit. If I provide source code, documentation and easy access to every
thing, it's all my work, my spare
time for the convenience of everyone else. I have no problem to share my code,
but I am not as stupid as
working like a mule for everyone's convenience.

Thus if you think such a list would be of magnificent help, start to create one
and maintain it. The wiki is
open to everyone to contribute. The lack of knowledge is hardly an excuse. When
I started 8 years ago I
had no knowledge of anything that is needed for QMapShack. I spent my time to
learn. From my point of
view it's valid to ask the same from anyone else.

Please don't take that personally. I hear your request quite frequently. So
it's nothing special about you. It's
about users tend to mix free commercial software (usually you pay for it with
information, suffering
advertisement or paying implicitly) with OpenSource. There is a difference. And
the difference is to pay back
because you share.

Thus if you - in terms of all users - want a list of map resources, share your
knowledge in the wiki. That's
what it is for.

Oliver
