Hello Teiwaz,

you'll find a great description how to deal with projects etc. in the wiki:

https://github.com/Maproom/qmapshack/wiki/.
Hello Axel, Thank you for answering,
I read the manual (before I asked ;-)  but I could not find a way to copy/move
a folder between *different* databases.

The context menu of a folder in the database window only allows the moving
within the same database.

If I open project files of 2 separate databases I can move the contents (e.g.
tracks, waypoints) between the files in
the workspace window and then store the result into the 2 databases.
But is that the only way to transfer information from one database to another ?

Sure you can rename a .db in your operating system.
I tried that of course, but this had no effect on the database name represented
in the database window of qmapshack.
Nevertheless I found now that I had to read in the renamed database and to
delete the old name which was still visible
in the database window of the application.
So this item is solved for me.

Can anyone give me a hint how to

-  rename a database name (SQLite, *.db file) within the QMapshack database
window and on disk,

-  move a folder (group or project) from one database to another.

Many thanks for your help
