well there was a chance to know it:

By the hash you can find the commit in the git logs and then you can easily 
find the release.

I am aware that this is not ideal, but I am more happy that Wolfgang is writing 
the documentation when a feature hits the dev branch, rather than waiting for 
it to be released with a huge chance to forget about it.


And no there is no other solution for 1.15.0 than editing the system wide 
profile.
