I built QMS 1.16 on Debian Testing following the instructions on this wiki page:
https://github.com/Maproom/qmapshack/wiki/BuildUbuntuPROJ8 Everything seems to
work well from a functional and performance point of view. However, I am
surprised to see the enormous amount of virtual memory used by the process. top
indicates 20.0t, which I assume means 20 TB. This is confirmed by pmap which gives
000002008fff7000 15032123396K rw--- [ anon ]
Although this is not an issue for me it would be interesting to know if this is
normal or just a singular effect due to my specific build.
