i am using qmail-ldap on IBM AIX 4.3 from last 6 months , its working
fine,
now i want to integrate "Qmail-Scanner: Email Scanning Harness for Qmail
" to scan
mail coming to my mail server,
i have gone through the docs of Qmail-Scanner as well as maildrop, but
no luck
following are my doubts regarding using Qmail-scanner and maildrop with
qmail-ldap
the docs of the "Qmail-Scanner: Email Scanning Harness for Qmail" says
that maildrop is the pre-requisite for "Qmail-Scanner: Email Scanning
Harness for Qmail" wrapper , i have gone through the docs of both
"Qmail-Scanner" and "maildrop" , but not getting how exctly it will
work ?
Doubts !!!!!
1) like which process will use maildrop ?qmail's process or
Qmail-scanner ?
2) will i have to create ".qmail" files under users home directory for
every user and specify rules for filtering ? if yes the how because i am
running qmail-ldap so all the users share same system uid/gid and
maildrop cant be used/ or too complex to use for such an environment ?
3) will Qmail-Scanner will use maildrop transparently to filter all
the mails
maildrop.
(in above by tranparently i mean that will i have to configure .qmail
files on per user basis ? or Qmail-Scanner will take care of that)
4) is Qmail-scanner wants maildrop to be configured as a local delivery
agent for qmail ?
would really appriate if someone can clarify these doubts ?
