Never used it.
I found Perdition / http://perdition.sourceforge.net
to be perfect for the job.
When used with qmail-ldap it works a treat (uses the
same attributes, 'mailhost' for example).
Our maildirs are NFS mounted to a NetApp, so with the
POP3/IMAP proxying it acts similar to the cluster
facility.
It also supports our legacy systems, and significantly
helped the switch to LDAP from said legacy systems.
