Qmail does not have built in dupe detection, like sendmail. If I create
an alias and include you in it, then address a message to both the alias
and you personally, you will receive two copies. If I make an alias and
include 20 ezmlm lists that you are a member of, then send a mail to the
alias, you will get 20 copies of the same message. Thus, a third party
dupe elimination scheme is required. The one I posted a message about
the other day is working fine for me now.
