auth_imap and session forwarding

Hi all,

I'm trying to get auth_imap session forwarding to work in my qmail cluster.

For this to work, is it really necessary to run courier imap under 
tcpserver and not couriertcpd?
Why can't it work under couriertcpd, it 's doing the same thing as tcpserver.

Running courier-imap under tcpserver requires additional effort to work out 
the options and parameters
as  well as changing the imap startup scripts.
