qmail-ldap has some antispam techniques built in:

http://www.nrg4u.com/qmail/QLDAPINSTALL

you could always use a non qmail-ldap qmail server on the front-end, that uses RBL and 
SPAMCONTROL http://www.fehcom.de/qmail/spam.html
that sorts the good from the bad and ends the good to your internal qmail-ldap 
delivery server.

also goto www.qmail.org and read up on the spam section
