Hi , I am using qmail-ldap patch 20010501. I have installed the SMTP Authentication patch of the same version too as described in Life With Qmail-LDAP
I have managed to get outlook express and netscape messenger to do SMTP authentication with my qmail. However, when i tried it on Eudora 5.0.1, it returns an error message : <DOMINANT>, 1 Messages left to send., RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[02:22 PM]. Can't send to ''. The server gives this reason:'553 sorry, that domain isn't in my allowed rcpthosts(#5.7.1)' Qmail doesn't that allow my Eudora to relay the mail though all settings have been input correctly. Is this a bug in Eudora? Did anyone managed to get Eudora 5.0.2 to SMTP authenticate with Qmail? Also, Life with Qmail says "Please note that the patch isn't declared stable or so, it is still experimental. It works fine on my production systems since march or so, but I know there are some gotchas and unclear error messages left." How bad is this ? In what situtation will do problems occur?
