Hi Federico,

  its a patch to allow you have virtual domains in a single server
and you can use all  namespace to each domain. 
so you dont have to have a single uid for each mail account.
you can have:

user1@domain1
user1@domain2

and do not have to use the usual hacks:

domain1-user1 or user1%domain1
domain2-user1 or user1%domain2

the price to pay:

each domain you wish to add must have its own ip address.
so 100 domains means a server with 100 ip addresses aliases.
