Great that it works for you. Can somebody verify the fallback to LDAPv2, ie somebody who is doing lookups from an OpenLDAP 1.x server? Also, I think that it will not even compile against OpenLDAP 1.x libs now, with that ldap_set_option function call included. IMHO, there is no reason to still be using LDAPv2 libs (OpenLDAP 1.x). AFAIK, Sun ONE C SDK and OpenLDAP 2.x libs share all of the very limited set of function calls that are used by QMail-LDAP, so my patch should work fine with either set of libs. -- Mike
