Turbo Fredriksson has problems with sending mails to the list so I'm
forwarding his mails until we figured out where the problem is.

Agree fully. A better system is needed. But I don't like the idea with
perlscripts... Acctually I do, but this is more fun :)

It's not as bad as one could think. Yes, there are more connections, but
only ONE connect+bind is done per program. Looking at the 'QmailLDAP
Big Picture' it seems like for a remote->local delivery there's five
connections and for a local->remote there's also five... I'm not sure
I count correctly here, but...

I need some stuff only availible in the latest QmailLDAP patch, so I
ported my old QmailLDAP/Controls patch to apply (and build I hope)
cleanly on the latest (20040301a if I'm not mistaken) QmailLDAP patch.

I DO NOT PROMISE ANY UPDATES!

If you know your way around patches and C code, the patch can live a
few years more (it took me roughly two days to port it)...

It's not fully tested yet (I'm planning to do this during the next few
days), and it's only (!) running on my development machine at work.

However, I can send and receive mails. I can POP (auth_pop) so there's
no reason why it shouldn't work...

As usuall, it's availible from http://www.bayour.com/qmail/patches_ldap/.
