Vicente Aguilar was (still is?) having the same problems as me. The maildirsize file is not getting updated correctly in a lot of cases. I run a qmail-ldap cluster (4 members) with courier-imap, pop3d and smtpd.
I tested IMAP, POP and SMTP deliveries to my account and maildirsize is updated when messages are added and deleted.
However for some users the maildirsize is very wrong. Sometimes off by 20-30%.We have 8000 users with most of them using POP3 to access their mail. A lot of people also use webmail - Horde/IMP - through IMAP to access their mail. I'm wondering if this combination of access is to blame for screwing up the maildirsize file.
Has anybody else been experiencing these problems with mailquotasize? This seems to be a pretty old problem. Is there a way or a program that creates maildirsize files? It would be handy to have a shell script that goes through and checks which users have screwed up numbers and recreates the file for them
