we have qmail-ldap 20040401 in production enviroment with thousands of accounts, 4 servers in cluster enviroment with qmail-scanner for filtering under demand and distinct geografical location of the server with transparent use for the final user.

SMTP/POP3/IMAP4

hardware is Dual AMD MP 2GH with 3GB Ram ddr, Mylex or adaptec U320 raid controllers and 4 disk for any server with RAID 0 configuration.


the performance of mail system is great.
