Dear Gennady,

Thanks for your support;

Do you mean that first I must create the LDAP users DB. (I.e. add each mail user/domain to the ldap server) ???

I can also use ldif files and ldapadd command, right ????

Another question: can I use the startup scripts â to start qmail-ldap and their all components â as stated in the document ( lwq.pdf ) for the net-qmail â which is without ldap - ???

Thanks and Best Regards,

Samir Noshy.

I do 7 steep by qldapadmin, then install alias, then install maildir (or not if you active automaildirmake), copy boot, start qmail.

Subject: qmail after installation / configuration.

Dear All,

The next step after "make setup check" for the qmail-ldap installation â as ststed in the following document  - is :

http://www.nrg4u.com/qmail/QLDAPINSTALL

7.  Create the LDAP user database and start the LDAP server
See qmail.schema for definition of all fields for OpenLDAP 2.x

How can I Achieve this task ? is by creating ldif file for all user and use the command âldapaddâ ??

An other document - qmail-1.03-INSTALL - tells that the next step after "make setup check" for the qmail is:

5. Read INSTALL.alias. Minimal survival command:

       # (cd ~alias; touch .qmail-postmaster .qmail-mailer-daemon .qmail-root)

       # chmod 644 ~alias/.qmail*

 6. Read INSTALL.mbox and INSTALL.vsm.

 7. Read INSTALL.maildir.

 8. Copy /var/qmail/boot/home (or proc) to /var/qmail/rc.

Another one - lwq.pdf - tells the following:

2.8. Start qmail

2.8.2. System startâup files

Which one of those is the next step after "make setup check" for the qmail-ldap installation ??

Thanks in advance.

And Best Regards.
