qmail-ldap includes the qmailqueue patch.

I tried qmailscanner, qscanq, and a few other external queueing mechanisms.
qmail-qfilter had the best performance on my servers. You can call both
clamd and spamd with a simple script.  Works fine on both RH9 and RHES4.
You might also consider djbdns, as it outperformed BIND (at least on my RH9
boxes).
