In that case I can't help you more because I don't have a solaris 10 box.
One thing you could try is "man gethostname" perhaps the have the needed
libraries somewhere documented.
Perhaps it is better to ask the question on a OpenLDAP or Solaris specific
mailing list, unless somebody is using qmail-ldap on Solaris 10 and knows
the answer.

If you find the solution could you inform me, so that I can update
QLDAPINSTALL.
