Just because strings sees ldapuid it does not mean that the file is
actually read. All ldap functions are in a "library" and so a few things
are linked into programs that do not actually use them.
Thanks Claudio, I was suspecting on this but I'd like to hear from you.
You need to look at the code to be sure what is used where.
I'm still not a C programmer. But the two books on C I bought for me are comming
from the US right now.
Btw. it actually does not matter that much.
Yes it does, for the qmail-ldap version of qmail-control(5) on
http://www.qmail-ldap.org/wiki/Man/Man5/qmail-control, that makes a lot of
difference.
