You have no 'cd /var/vmail ' in the script. This is needed unless you
set the home directory of the vmail user to /var/vmail , but still it's
best to include it just to be sure.
HyperAxe,
again its not needed. If whoever is invoking dirmaker script has write
permissions on one of the existing leaf target directory, then dirmaker
will create all the parent directories there with the last directory
(read Maildir). qmail-local uses /absolute/path/to/Maildir when it tries
to deliver mail, if Maildir does not exist then it will create it. It
works flawlessly as long as you do not have permission issues and of
course you have configured qmail to deliver mails to Maildir.
Jay,
Can you show unedited output of qmail-showctl? Also answer if you try to
run qmail smtpd with increased loglevel? If you haven't done it yet, do
it first.
Post output when qmail-smtpd run with increased loglevel.
