You need to recompile qmail with qmail-ldap patch. You cannot

You need to read things. Its all there on the web.

has a lot of it.
1. You need to apply qmail-ldap patch to fresh code of qmail.
2. Then change makefile to enable necessary options.
3. Configure control files to talk to ldap server.
That should get your mail server working..
