hi all,

First thanks to Tomas his solution worked for my previous error . Now when i am trying to add ldapentries from scratch i am getting this error. My test server OS is of PCQuest2005

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
PCQLinux 2005 (WhiteHope)

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]#ldapadd -acrv -h ldap.xyz.com -D "cn=admin,o=localhost,c=com" -w admin -f ldif
ldap_initialize( ldap://ldap.vvdesign.com )
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

I have installed these rpm's in my test server

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rpm -qa |grep ldap
openldap-2.2.13-2
php-ldap-4.3.9-3
nss_ldap-220-3
mod_authz_ldap-0.26-2
openldap-servers-2.2.13-2
openldap-clients-2.2.13-2
openldap-devel-2.2.13-2

Please suggest me what has to be done to get rid of this error

Regards
shamshu
