For some reason when we tried it before, we were getting the errors I described in the previous message.

When we attempted again, it seems to work fine. Strange....

Thanks,
Mike

How do we get this to work with a commercial CA, or have we completely messed up on something?

You would cat the cert and key files into a single file called "servercert.pem" or some such. This is all that is needed. When the SSL handshake starts, you will present your certificate to the client, then the client will try to create a chain up to a trusted root cert on THEIR system.

The receiver of a cert attempts to establish trust, sending a root certificate that you trust doesn't help the client.
