I'm posting here as a last resort. I'm having a difficult time
getting auth_imap to authenticate against ldap. Well, it looks as if
it authenticates, just doesn't respond well. It would help if I could
get some debug output from imap, but no matter what LOGLEVEL or DEBUG
level I set in either the env for daemontools or imap I get nothing.

OS = FreeBSD 6.2
Courier-imap = 3.0.8 (does newer 4 version work with qmail-ldap clustering?)
Openldap 2.3.30

Details:
 running qmail-imapd from /var/qmail/boot

telneting to 143 on imap server:
  * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 ACL ACL2=UNION] Courier-IMAP ready.

distribution information.
  a login [EMAIL PROTECTED] test
  a NO Login failed.

Ldap debug output shows information being sent back:

I'm at a loss. Can anyone provide me with some clues?

Regards,
 Frank C.
