Hello Josh,

If you use the messagestore in LDAP and want to create maildir
there, you must (!) edit qmail-ldap.h (or something looks like this) and
change "homedir" to "nohomedir".

Best Wishes,
        Gennady.

Subject: Automatic Homedir creation

Hello all,

I recently have started to attempt to use the automatic homedir
creation, which has turned to be unsuccessful. A few things to
not prior to mentioning my problem.

I have updated the Makefile to include this functionality, with
the lines for MDIRMAKE and HDIRMAKE. Also, I created the example
script provide within the 'Life with qmail-ldap' and put it's
path with the dirmaker control script. This script is marked as
executable, and the directory which it should be writing to has
the permissions for the ldapuid and the ldapgid, and I have been
able to execute the dirmaker script as this user.

However, when ever I attempt to send an email to a user which does
not currently have its homedir nor the maildir, I get the following
return from qmail:

Permanent_error_in_automatic_homedir_creation._(#5.3.0)/

I noticed that there was an earlier thread about this happening, and
I have gone through that and verified that everything was in fact
the way it was mentioned there.

Thank you for your help in advance,
Josh
