Hello,

First, let me apologize for sending this email if there's already
something similar in the list archives. I did a quick browse and search,
but I didn't see anything that asked what I wanted to ask.

I'm currently in the process of setting up a email gateway system using
qmail, qmail-scanner and spamassassin. The gateway will sit in between
the public internet and a MS Exchange box, which actually contains all the
user mailboxes. The users will then pick up their messages using MS
Outlook. I've successfully installed and configured qmail-scanner and
spamassassin to the point of where our domains are getting a drasticly
reduced amount of spam. That is certianly a good thing.

What I would like to do is configure qmail-scanner to add a virus scanner
as well. I'm looking for any and all recomendations for scanners that
operate under linux. Whick scanner is easiest to install? Which
integrates with qmail-scanner the best? Which offers the broadest range
of known viruses? Which is best overall in all of the regards above? All
of the answers to each question above can be different. I'm simply trying
to figure out which will work out best in our environment and setup.

Thanks,
Chris
