Hmm. You might want to make sure that you don't have an old version of the Perl libs laying around.. Like in /usr/local/lib/perl5/ make sure you don't have a 5.6.0 directory (it should be 5.6.1).
What happens is that when you build HiRes, it installs into this old directory (if it exists), and it will never be read by the 5.6.1 Perl interpreter.
