No, the problem is with perl - although I cannot tell you what. I've heard there are some problems/bugs with perl-5.8.0 in non-english locales - apparently something to do with Unicode charsets? Anyway, try upgrading SA to 2.44 (the current release), and if that doesn't help, post it to the SA group - I bet that final bit showing some issue in the /usr/lib/perl area will trigger someone...
