Well the error is shown - Q-S is trying to make a directory in which to dump
the tortured soul of a message into, but it already exists (sp).

Just what was changed with that kernel? Not random PID generation I wonder?
What kind of load is your server under? One message per minute? 1/sec,
10/sec, etc?
