Hello! Sorry if this is a very common error. However, i did not find the answer in any faq or manual anywhere.
1. I have had qmail, vpopmail etc up and running with qmail-scanner for "ages" just using clamscan.
2. Today i installed spamassassin and it seems to work for local
deliveries but there is an error preventing external smtpd connections.
X-Qmail-Scanner-1.16:[nickel.datalink.se105827901842615554] cannot open /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-scanner-queue-version.txt - did you initialise the system by running "qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z"? - Permission denied
/bin/rm: cannot remove `/var/spool/qmailscan/nickel.datalink.se105827901842615554': Permission denied
/bin/rm: cannot remove `/var/spool/qmailscan/working/new/nickel.datalink.se105827901842615554'
None of the files that this message referes to exists.
It is almost as if the incoming mails turns up(or should turn up) in those files but they are not created or directly deleted.
Now i can not "reinstall" using only clamscan - the error persists even if i delete /var/spool/qmailscan and the script.
Ideas anyone? TIA Olas
