All,

I got a problem to install qmail-scanner into my RedHat 7.3 box that need
Perl DB_Files module.

The problem came from installation of DB_Files module of Perl. Seems from
file version.c, that you wrote. It could not find file db.h.

Here the error messages:

gcc -c -I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB/include -fno-strict-aliasing -I/usr/local/inc
lude -O2 -march=i386 -mcpu=i686 -DVERSION=\"1.806\" -DXS_VERSION=\"1.806\"
 -fPIC -I/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/CORE -D_NOT_CORE -DmDB_Prefix_t=si
ze_t -DmDB_Hash_t=u_int32_t version.c

version.c:30:16: db.h: No such file or directory

The README file explained that perhaps my system has no BerkeleyDB. Then I
downloaded the latest version of BerkeleyDB (ver 4.1.25), but problem still
happen. I also tried to find the location file db.h. Unfortunately I could
not find it.

Would you tell me how to install DB_Files correctly?
Does the BerkeleyDB be installed in the fresh installation of Linux RH 7.3?
What is the simplest version of Berkeley DB that I should use? Does version
1.x enough for qmail-scanner?

Your answer is very appreciated and waited for.

Thx & Rgds,

Awie
