I just "suggest" the problem ...
Maybe qss 2.02 as a php-program doesn't work with the 
standard-distribution of php in RH9 - it's probably about global 
variables (that's what it could probably be - I don't have any RH here 
:-) ).

Even may it be that the RH9-PHP has logging / debugging / 
error-reporting off down to a very low level in the php.ini. Look out 
for it.
