I ran into a problem with qmail-scanner-1.20 recently. Everything seems to be working flawlessly except for the spamassassin integration. I ended up making it work by pipelining SA before QS.

I have all the current sources as of yesterday 11/6/2003. I followed all directions, and everything looked great. QS detected clamav and SA, though I used verbose_spamassassin,clamav as --scanner input to ./configure. QS was scanning messages and passing to clamav and SA. Virus tests passed, but not SPAM tests. Logs showed that spamc WAS getting SOME messages from QS. All direct spamc tests passed, but through QS it appears as though all SA information is discarded, and the pre-SA message is used for delivery. No SA headers are added and no spammy messages are tagged as such, even using setting the QS $spamc_subject variable.

Did I screw it up? I've heard talk of others making this work, but I couldn't do it. I also used the QS ver1.20rc4 code prior to this and had the same problem.

Is anyone using SA with QS out there? I'm not so concerned about fixing this since I found a work-around, but it would be nice to know whether I just made a mistake installing, or if there was a mistake in the code somewhere.

Thanks,
Ken
