Hi everyone!

I've been playing around with Q-S, syslog-ng, Perl and MySQL in attempt
to create a system that logs events from qmail-scanner into a database,
which can then be queried using a PHP front-end. I've also modified the
program Pigsentry (a Snort add-on) so that it can be used to send alerts
when Q-S finds a new virus or if number of detected viruses suddenly
raises. I think this whole thing is something that many people (mostly
those administering several Q-S servers) would probably find useful.

The basic system is now functional but it needs *loads* of attention:
there are truckloads of bugs, the PHP front-end is very simple at the
moment etc. Furthermore, I am everything but an experienced programmer,
so the whole thing would need a "touch of a professional".

I'm planning to set up a project at Sourceforge and share the results of
my programming exercises with the rest of the world in the hope that
they will be refined into something useful. If you're interested in
participating, please contact me.
