I'd like to strike a ballance between quarantining and message delivery..
Suppose a site is configured to quarantine all messages with exe attachments, and a message enters the system with two attachemnts-- a zip file (valid) and an exe (invalid)...
Is there a way to strip off the exe (or other invalid attachment type), replace it with a 'Hey, this had an illegal attchment, contact the sender to get it in a different format' message, and deliver the now "cleaned" message?
I'm certainly not interested in cleaning the message of virus payload, simply killing off an illegal attachment type from a message...
Unfortunately, my perl-foo is weak, and am unable to help much... I'm certainly willing to help test and further develop the idea if interest and technical ability is present... and I'm certainly not afraid to learn some Perl along the way.. :)
Thanks!
Carl
