AVG already provides a patch file for qs-1.20 on the AVG for linux download page:

it adds a 'contrib/test-avgd.pl' script and modifies the QS 'configure' script to allow selection/config of avgd as a scanner option. Shouldn't be difficult to modify the patch for qs-1.22 and/or add required bits by hand if direct patch application fails.
Keep in mind AVG requires license to run past the 30 day trial period
