just curious - has the sender tried sending it to you from a different mail-clinet (even yahoo)??
It may just be how the mail cleint formats that MIME..I know that has been an issue with Outlook Express and some attchments that we
received
Well, this is how it was explained to me... there is some software they are running that takes voice mails and converts them to WAV files and emails them out to the appropriate address. My customer wants to receive those emails at my server.
I was mainly wondering if you can identify (easily) what email headers are ugly that QS doesn't like. This way, I can point to the specific problem that the other admin needs to fix in order for these messages to be sent with clean mime.
I have already begun whitelisting his IP address using tcp.smtpd so the emails I receive from his server are not scanned by QS but are instead being dumped into my queue immediately. So my customer is now getting his messages just fine... I just wanted to try helping this other admin fix his problem or at least make him aware of where the problem lies.
If it's too much trouble identifying the ugly email headers, then I will just drop the whole thing because obviously the onus is on him fixing his stuff and my problem is already solved... I am just being a nice guy and trying to help him because he asked me to show him specifically what's wrong. The messages I got from QS weren't very specific and just said "Disallowed characters found in MIME headers" and little else.
