Hi! I have qmail-scanner 1.24 with clamd, f-prot, and spamassassin-verbose (2.64) installed. I sometimes notice long message processing times, even though the serverload is really low. For example, I noticed these 2 lines in qmail-queue.log :
Sat, 04 Dec 2004 07:33:57 CET:2231: w_c: start dumping incoming msg into /var/spool/qmailscan/working/tmp/VMVMA211021420374872231 [0.001003] Sat, 04 Dec 2004 07:34:01 CET:2231: c_a_g: found MIME attachment This is before execution of spam/virusscanners. The message of less than 2000 bytes long. Is this simply a slow incoming smtp connection, or is something else wrong?
